Good answer to this question is to explain that your internship opportunities were not related to your career path you wanted to concentrate, and you took that to get experience and learn something new or match the learning from internship to this job and say the particular area of your chosen field. “There were a limited number of internships and I did not have the luxury of picking and choosing from many internships that matched my areas of interest. I thought it was better for me to get some experience in the field, even if it was in an area of accounting that didn't particularly interest me.”
