Your answer would let the employer know about your communication skills and interpersonal skills.

Start with the clause behind miscommunication followed by the situation when miscommunication took place. The answer should be ended in positive note i.e. you must show how you managed the situation and successfully overcame the obstacle. It would show your ability to manage the situation. Also explain the lesson that you got to learn from the situation.
